Hunter Douglas Pirouette® Sheer Shades combine soft fabric with adjustable light control in a distinctive, dimensional window treatment.
Contoured horizontal fabric vanes are attached to a single sheer backing. When the vanes are closed, Pirouette has the appearance of a beautifully tailored fabric shade. As the vanes open, they curve outward to reveal the sheer backing, allowing softly filtered daylight and a view through the window.
The result is a shade that can change dramatically throughout the day—from a more private fabric treatment to an open, light-filled sheer.
A Different Approach to Natural Light
Pirouette shades are designed to give you more control over daylight without sacrificing the softness of fabric.

The combination creates a softer, more decorative appearance than a traditional blind while still allowing you to adjust the window treatment throughout the day.

ClearView uses a specialized sheer backing designed to provide greater visibility to the outdoors when the fabric vanes are open. At the same time, the sheer continues to diffuse incoming sunlight and help filter damaging UV rays.
This makes ClearView particularly appealing for windows overlooking landscaping, water, wooded areas or other views you want to enjoy without leaving the window completely uncovered.
Light Filtering or Room Darkening
Pirouette shades are available with fabrics designed for different levels of light control.
Light-filtering fabrics soften daylight while maintaining a brighter room. Room-darkening fabrics provide greater privacy and substantially reduce incoming light when the vanes are closed.
For spaces that require even greater flexibility, select Pirouette shades are available with A Deux™, which combines the Pirouette shading with a separate room-darkening roller shade in a single headrail.

Automation works particularly well with Pirouette because both the position of the shade and the opening of the fabric vanes affect light and privacy.
