Bring the tailored look of Karastan wool carpet into your room in a size made specifically for your space with a Karastan Gatsby Custom Rug. Crafted from Gatsby broadloom and finished as a custom area rug, this option combines the flexibility of made-to-order sizing with the natural beauty, texture, and refinement of 100% wool.
Gatsby features a sophisticated small-scale woven pattern that adds dimension without overpowering the room. Its understated geometry and tonal coloration create a look that feels tailored and architectural, making it an excellent choice for living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, home offices, and other spaces where a standard-size area rug may not provide the right proportions.
Made from 100% wool, Gatsby offers natural softness, resilience, and a substantial feel underfoot. Its woven construction gives the pattern definition and structure, while Karastan's custom rug program completes the design with an all-wool binding around the edges for a clean, finished appearance.
Because each rug is made to order, Gatsby can be sized to better suit your furniture arrangement and room dimensions. Whether you need a rug sized around a dining table, a larger piece to anchor a seating arrangement, or a more precisely proportioned rug for an unusual space, Gatsby offers a more tailored alternative to standard rug sizes.

Made to Fit Your Room
One of the primary advantages of a custom rug is proportion. Instead of designing the room around predetermined rug dimensions, Gatsby can be fabricated to better fit the furniture and architecture already in the space.
For a living room, a larger custom size can comfortably anchor the sofa and surrounding chairs. In a dining room, the rug can be sized around the table and chairs so the chairs remain on the rug when pulled away from the table. Custom dimensions can also be especially useful for long rooms, oversized bedrooms, open floor plans, and other spaces where conventional rug sizes do not quite work.
Because Gatsby is a patterned carpet, final sizing and pattern placement should be considered together when determining the finished rug dimensions.
A Refined Wool Rug Made for the Space
Karastan Gatsby is a strong choice for homeowners who want an area rug to feel integrated into the room rather than added as an afterthought. Its natural wool construction, subtle repeating pattern, substantial weight, and custom sizing create a rug with a more tailored, finished appearance.
Choose your Gatsby color and desired dimensions to create a custom wool rug designed specifically around your room.
